Arangen's platform-independent Migration Service delivers technical
expertise for business modernization and integration. Arangen migration
technology enables organizations to update business operations with new
technology and capabilities while preserving valuable legacy data and
applications. Arangen migration technology allows organizations to
integrate enterprise data systems from an acquired business unit, or to
integrate new business applications using existing enterprise data. Arangen
migration solutions enable businesses to execute migration projects that
modernize and/or integrate their enterprise data systems without disturbing
on-going business operations. Whether a migration project is complex or has
an array of difficult sub-goals, Arangen's platform-independent Migration
Service streamlines the enterprise migration process.
Arangen's platform-independent migration solutions use
federation technology to unlock
legacy data silos and restructure legacy data for reuse. Arangen
federation
provides real-time access to restructured legacy data via virtual-database
technology. Arangen migration uses
consolidation technology
to migrate re-engineered legacy data to the targeted destination databases.
Arangen Migration provides a gradual, phased roll-over process to carefully
switch business operations to modernized business applications.
Arangen's platform-independent migration solutions attach to legacy data
silos without disturbing on-going, live business operations. Arangen
technology enables modernized business applications to be deployed alongside
existing legacy applications and share enterprise data. Enabling new and
old applications to run side-by-side simplifies the task of validation and
acceptance testing. Arangen migration technology enables legacy
applications supporting normal business operations to continue running,
non-stop, throughout the migration process.
Arangen Migration Service supports Standard and Complex Migration.
Standard migration manages business modernization to replace aging legacy
systems. Arangen's platform-independent migration solutions provide access
to restructured legacy data to enable enterprise architects and developers
to re-design and re-build their business systems. Arangen technology
enables new and upgraded business applications to be deployed, tested, and
validated along-side existing legacy applications without disturbing ongoing
business operations. When new systems validate and pass acceptance, then
restructured legacy data can be consolidated into the new databases. The
old legacy systems can be shut down and retired, and the Arangen framework
can be removed.
Complex migration manages business integration to enable legacy systems to
work together. A good example would be the acquisition of a new business
unit whose business systems and operations must be integrated into the
parent's IT operations. Both business units need to share business data and
operations. Arangen complex
federation is applied to re-map
and restructure legacy data from both sides to provide integrated data
access to both sets of business applications. New or upgraded business
applications may be required to complete the business systems integration.
Once all applications are deployed and pass validation/acceptance testing,
then
consolidation is applied
move the relevant legacy data into new or existing databases. Business
operations are transfered to the new, migrated system using Arangen's
phased, roll-over process. When the transfer is complete, the legacy
systems that have been
consolidated can be shut
down and retired. Arangen technology remains in place to support those
legacy applications still using the virtual-database-supported legacy data
interfaces. When this last set of legacy applications are no longer
required, the Arangen framework can be removed.
